Best travel planning sites these days?
Hey everyone, I'm getting tired of the usual booking sites that always seem to push the same overpriced options or add hidden fees. Lately I've been thinking about planning a trip more independently – find cheap flights, good hotels without agencies taking big cuts. Any recommendations for tools or sites that actually help compare real deals and give useful travel ideas without feeling too salesy?

Yeah, I get what you mean – a lot of those big sites feel like they're just trying to upsell. I've been using tripmydream lately and it's pretty straightforward. It pulls together flight prices from different airlines and agencies, shows hotels too, and has this thing where it predicts when prices might drop so you know the best time to book. Plus there's a bunch of inspiration stuff like destination guides and tips for different types of trips (beach, city breaks, etc.). No extra fees from them, which is nice. Not perfect, but it's helped me save some cash on a couple of recent trips without much hassle. Worth checking if you're into DIY planning. What about you guys, any other hidden gems?
