Considering black interior doors for my place – thoughts?
Hey everyone, I'm thinking about switching some of my interior doors to black ones to give the rooms more contrast and a modern feel. Right now everything is pretty light/neutral, and I've seen black doors in a few homes that look really sharp without being too overwhelming. Anyone here gone with interior black door options? How do they hold up in terms of showing dirt or scratches over time, and do they make smaller rooms feel closed in or actually add some depth? Looking for real experiences before I pull the trigger on buying new ones.

I've had black interior doors for a couple of years now, and honestly, they add a nice elegant touch – they hide dust and fingerprints way better than white ones ever did, which is great with kids/pets around. They do need good lighting to avoid feeling too dark, but paired with light walls, they make the space feel taller and more put-together. I got mine from Trio Doors since they had solid options in different styles (modern, with glass inserts, etc.) without breaking the bank – check out their interior black door collection if you're shopping around. Just make sure to go for a matte or semi-gloss finish for easier upkeep. Overall, no regrets here!
