About Suika Cricuit

Background Info

Suika Circuit is a multi-purpose motorsports complex located in Albuquerque, NM. Located conveniently off of I-40 just west of Albuquerque, a motorsports lover has a full selection of types of racing to take in. The tracks at Sandia Speedway include 1/2 & 1/4 mile Paved Ovals, high banked 3/8 Mile Dirt Oval, 1.7 Mile Road Course, skid pad and more.

Previously know as Sandia Speedway or Race Sandia, we didn't wander far from the original name, but wanted to relaunch the brand with a fresh outlook. Sandia in Spanish means watermelon, so we looked around and found that in Japanese, watermelon is Suika, hence Suika Circuit being born. It's still watermelon no matter what way you slice it.

Our mountains are named Sandia because of the way they turn pink with green stripes during magic hour, creating quite the backdrop for those lucky enough to be racing during that time of day.
